First Time in College Students

The transition to college can be a big step, but we're here to make sure it goes smoothly. If you're feeling a little anxious about your first days and weeks on campus, it's perfectly natural. Just remember, you're a Saint now and you'll find a whole family of fellow Saints to help you along the way.

At Undergraduate Orientation, we'll make sure you're ready for a great education and a new stage in your life. And since you'll be spending a lot of time with your classmates in the coming years, you'll also get to know them through our Saint Games and the Saint Feast.

Orientation Dates:

What You Will Learn and Do

Each year transfer students come to D'Youville for a wide range of reasons: a change of program or career, a desire for student-focused education designed for their success, a return to higher education after a break. Regardless of the reason, we're here to ensure you are successful and that starts with Transfer Orientation.

At Transfer Orientation, you'll meet your fellow students, talk to alumni and current students who've been in your situation, and explore all the resources at D'Youville designed to make your experience rewarding.

Parents & Family

Sending a family member to college is a big life event, and you probably have some questions. That's great, we'll have staff and current students ready to answer them. Though orientation is not mandatory for parents and guardians, we encourage all parents and families to attend. We look forward to meeting you.

As a parent or guardian of a student, your support has helped them succeed. They've chosen a student-focused school dedicated to their safety and success. They're a Saint now. But we consider you a part of the Saint family, too, and we want to ensure you can continue your support.

At our half-day parent and family orientation, you'll learn about what resources are available to your student and how to stay connected with D'Youville.

Orientation Dates:
July 22nd, July 27th & August 25th
