Our Planned Giving staff assists donors who wish to provide for D’Youville through bequests or other planned vehicles.
The Providence Society was established at D'Youville College in 1986 to recognize alumni and friends who have demonstrated their commitment to the future of the college by designating a bequest, trust, insurance policy, stock, real estate or personal tangible property for the college.
Members of the society have demonstrated an uncommon loyalty through a commitment to D'Youville's planned giving efforts.
In 2002, college received its largest planned gift to date, with the receipt of a $1.4 million bequest.
If you would like additional information about any aspect of planned giving, such as tax savings, assets management, how to make a gift while receiving income for life, and other donor benefits, please contact Meg Rittling, Associate Vice President for Alumni Engagement and Planned Giving at 716-829-7808 or firstname.lastname@example.org.
D'Youville College accepts donations that are made to honor or remember individuals and events.
Memorials and tributes are considered ideal gifts because they are a great way to honor an individual as well as contribute to an organization or a cause.
Memorial gifts are an enduring remembrance of love for the families of the deceased, while tributes may honor professors, administrators, anniversaries or other occasions. They are also a way to ensure the legacy of an individual(s) will continue to live on through educational opportunities made possible by these gifts.
D'Youville College has many memorials and tributes that have been established over the years. Examples include: Named buildings, scholarships, a garden, Memorial Walkway, and student book vouchers. For more information, please contact Meg Rittling, Associate Vice President for Alumni Engagement and Planned Giving at 716-829-7808 or email@example.com.
