A grant is a financial aid award that does not need to be repaid.

Grants are given to students who demonstrate financial need and are based on your FAFSA. Below is a list of the grants available at D'Youville College.

Types of Grants

Federal Grants

Federal Pell Grant

The largest federal student grant program.

Eligibility

Undergraduate students without a previous bachelor's degree who demonstrate high financial need.

Amount

Awards range up to $5,920 for 2017-2018.  Application: FAFSA

Federal Supplemental Educational Opportunity Grant (SEOG)

Eligibility

Undergraduate students without a previous bachelor's degree who demonstrate exceptionally high financial need.

Amount

Varies depending on availability of funds.

Deadline

February 15 for incoming students; April 15 for enrolled students

TEACH Grant (Federal Teacher Education Assistance for College and Higher Education)

Eligibility

Undergraduate and graduate students who intend to teach full-time.

Amount

Provides up to $3,760 per year in grant money.

State Grants

Tuition Assistance Program (TAP) Grant

Eligibility

Undergraduate students who are New York State residents attending college in New York State. Applicants must be a full-time student in good academic standing, working toward a degree or certificate.

Amount

Awards range up to $500 to $5,165 per year (2017-2018). Deadline: May 1.

Aid For Part-time Study (APTS) Grant

Undergraduate students who are New York State residents attending college on a part-time basis (less than 12 hours) in New York State.

Amount

Varies depending on availability of funds. Deadline: End of the drop/add period each semester.

D'Youville College Grant

Eligibility

Undergraduate and graduate students who demonstrate exceptionally high financial need.

Amount

D'Youville Out-of-State Grant

This grant is designed to help U.S. out-of-state undergraduate students offset the New York State financial aid they are ineligible to receive.

Eligibility

Full-time, out-of-state undergraduate students

February 15 for incoming students; April 15 for enrolled students
