Simply put, verification means that the College must confirm specific answers on your Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) before we can make an offer of federal financial aid.
After completing your FAFSA, you may be selected for verification. Students can be selected for verification by either the federal government or by D'Youville College. To avoid delays, please create your StudentForms account and submit all required documents promptly.
Verification Process 2017-2018
(For federal aid eligibility in Summer 2017, Fall 2017, and Spring 2018)
- If you're selected for verification, you will receive a notice from D'Youville College on StudentForms. The College collects verification worksheets, Federal Return Tax Transcripts (if requested), and other documents to complete the verification process.
- To start the process, please be sure you have created your account on StudentForms. The verification workflow will walk you though all the required items you will need to complete the process. If you need assistance, please contact your Financial Aid Counselor.
Remember, please be certain to upload you Return Tax Transcripts (if requested) not the actual tax return forms to StudentForms. And, as a measure of good practice, be sure to keep records for every document you submit.
