Do you remember waving your hand enthusiastically showing your willingness to help? That hand raising gesture so early on in your life demonstrated a willingness to volunteer. Here are some of the reasons why volunteering is so important to you and others:

Current Opportunities
The 2011 Lending a Hand Team continued to offer assistance in New Orleans in January. One of the agencies we worked with was the Food Bank for Greater New Orleans. Another service trip to New Orleans has been scheduled for December, 2011.
