About Financial Aid

  • You must complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA). New York State residents complete the Tuition Assistance Program application (TAP) which is linked to the end of the FAFSA application.
  • The Financial Aid Office hours are Monday through Friday from 8:30 AM to 4:30 PM. Appointments are best, and can also be scheduled in the early evening hours.
  • Financial aid counselors are assigned to students alphabetically by a student's last name.
  • You should file your FAFSA online. If you don't already have one, you can get a U.S. Department of Education PIN from www.pin.ed.gov. You'll also need your PIN to check your loan repayment obligations at the NSLDS website.
  • Ninety percent of D’Youville freshmen receive financial aid. This includes nearly  $2,000,000 in grants and scholarships.
  • Grants include: Federal Pell Grants and Supplemental Education Opportunity Grants, New York State Tuition Assistance Program, and Aid for Part-Time Study. Federal Work-Study programs, federally insured loans, and flexible payment plans are also available.

Scholarships/Grants

Undergraduate

  • All applicants are reviewed for academic scholarships at the time of acceptance. Notifications of awards are made in the early spring. Awards include: Honors Scholarships, Academic Initiative Scholarships, Achievement Scholarships and Transfer Achievement Scholarships.
  • All continuing students may apply for thousands of dollars from Endowed and Restricted Scholarships.

Graduate

  • Graduate retentsion scholarships are granted trhough the academic departments.
  • Combat Veterans Grant

Tuition Waivers

  • Canadian students receive a 20-percent tuition waiver unless the student receives a RN Nursing waiver. All undergraduate Canadian students are eligible for academic scholarships.
  • RN Nursing waiver - Nursing students in the BSN completion program for RNs receive a 50% tuition-only waiver.
  • D’Youville is a member of the Council of Independent Colleges Tuition Exchange Program and the Tuition Exchange Program, Inc. Both are tuition remission programs.
