D’Youville to hold IT camp for high schoolers over holiday break

Buffalo, New York – December 22, 2021 – D’Youville invites high school students to participate in a “Reboot Camp” focusing on technology skills. The camp will be held from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on December 27 and 28 in D’Youville’s Health Professions Hub, located at 301 Connecticut St. Students are encouraged to sign up for either day.

Employees of D’Youville’s IT Pulse Center will host the technology camp. Students will compete in challenges including battling each other to solve an AI enhanced rubric’s cube, trivia challenges, and building robots which they will race to the finish line. After completing each challenge, the teams will be awarded a computer component which they will then use to build desktop computers, which will be donated to a local charity.

Snacks and drinks will be provided each day. All New York State Covid-19 protocols will be followed, so students must wear masks to participate.

Space is limited, and students interested in signing up are encouraged to do so as soon as possible. To sign up, visit dyrebootcamp.com.
