D’Youville Names Director of Budget, Planning, and Assessment
Buffalo, New York – January 12. 2017 – Thomas R. Christy has been named director of budget, planning, and assessment at D’Youville College.
In this new position, he will be responsible for the direction and coordination of the operating and capital budgets, financial planning and assessment of operations, and the coordination of the Financial Affairs computer software implementation and utilization.
Christy will design, plan, and implement the College’s budget process and integrate it into the institution’s financial systems.
Previously he was the deputy county clerk for finance at the Erie County clerk’s office since 2012 and was responsible for bookkeeping, daily cash intake, and accounting for monthly and yearly financial statements.
Christy was in charge of financial projections over multiple departments covering nine locations and 162 employees. He was also involved in annual budget preparation and purchasing agent for all clerk departments.
He was also employed by Mueller Services, Inc. in Tonawanda.
A graduate of SUNY Buffalo State, he earned his executive MBA at the State University at Buffalo and currently is completing his master’s degree in International Business at D’Youville.
