Buffalo, New York – August 29, 2014 – An article in MediaPost about the the importance of sports content for young fans cites research conducted by Donald Sabo, PhD, Professor Emeritus of Health Policy in D'Youville's Health Administration Doctoral. The article notes that Sabo, "found that 61% of boys and 34% of girls across all grades say that sports are a large part of who they are."
Sabo is a nationally-known youth-sports researcher. He founded D'Youville's Center for Research on Physical Activity, Sport & Health (CRPASH) and currently serves as co-director of the center. He is the former Research Director of the Women's Sports Foundation, and currently serves as its Senior Health Policy Advisor.
