The Buffalo News interviews DYC nursing professor about her community project
Buffalo, New York – February 10, 2014 – Pamela Riester, RN, clinical assistant professor in D'Youville's School of Nursing was interviewed by The Buffalo News about her donation to the local chapter of Project Linus, a nonprofit that provides homemade blankets to children in need. Riester donated 126 blankets to the nonprofit. She created 61 of the blankets herself and with help from family and friends. An additional 56 were created by her niece in Michigan who persuaded her Girl Scout troop to adopt the project.
“It was a good community project to show kids that other kids need things and we can help them,” said Riester.
