The Buffalo News interviews DYC professor on the power of teamwork and creativity
Buffalo, New York – December 18, 2013 – Peter Eimer, Assistant Professor in the Department of Business at D'Youville College, was interviewed by The Buffalo News about how teamwork and creativity create solutions in the business world. Eimer serves as chief operating officer at Brothers of Mercy senior care campus in Clarence.
The Brothers of Mercy is a nonprofit company that runs a skilled nursing facility, apartments for seniors, and the Sacred Heart Home. The senior care campus has plans for expansion in the next several years with an $18 million, 111-unit senior living complex, as well as an immediate care center open to the campus and larger community.
In the The Buffalo News interview, Eimer noted that "You’ve got to be creative in finding ways to do all these things. You do a lot of collaborations, a lot of partnerships."
Eimer has brought dozens of D'Youville students to the healthcare campus, including students who helped create a new business model for the the Brothers of Mercy campus.
