DYC to Host Breast Cancer Awareness Pink Game

Buffalo, New York – February 15, 2013 – The Lady Spartans, D'Youville College's women's basketball team, is set to host the annual 2012-13 Breast Cancer Awareness Pink Game when it hosts Mount Aloysius College at the College Center Gymnasium on Saturday, February 16, at 1:00 p.m. All DYC students with ID will each receive a commemorative awareness "Fight for a Cure" t-shirt.

The Lady Spartans will be wearing their home white uniforms with pink shoe laces, as well as their new D'Youville basketball "Believe" warm-ups for the game.

Prior to the contest vs. the Lady Mounties, the D'Youville College Spartans will take a moment to recognize a few individuals of the basketball and campus community who are breast cancer survivors. Each individual who is being honored will be presented at half court with a Pink Rose and a DYC athletics committee "Fight for a Cure" t-shirt.

The "Fight for a Cure" t-shirts will be on sale to all fans for $10, with proceeds going to the Roswell Park Cancer Institute, located in Buffalo, New York.

The men's game versus Mount Aloysius will conclude the afternoon. Start time will be at 3:00 p.m.
