Faculty Member Recognized as AAPA Distinguished Fellow
Buffalo, New York – March 5, 2014 – Dr. Renee Andreeff, academic coordinator and clinical assistant professor in D’Youville’s Physician Assistant program, was recently recognized as a Distinguished Fellow of the American Academy of Physician Assistants (AAPA).
“They are members who have distinguished themselves by their service to the Physician Assistant profession, their commitment to advancing health care for all people, and their exemplary personal and professional development,” according to the Academy.
“Renee has demonstrated outstanding dedication to her profession, her distinction in PA education, community service, and her exemplary personal and professional development,” said Dr. Maureen F. Finney, chair of the Physician Assistant program at D’Youville in making the announcement of the prestigious honor.
Andreeff joined the college in 2002 and was a practitioner at Buffalo Medical Group and Lakeshore Primary Care Associates. She served as a moderator of the AAPA 41st Annual PA Conference in 2013 and is a Peer Reviewer for the Journal of the American Academy of Physician Assistants (JAAPA).
She was named the PA Faculty Member of the Year in 2006-2007; 2012-2013 and is a member of Lambda Sigma Honor Society.
Involved in her community, Andreef was a Cub Scout and Girl Scout First Aide Badge Facilitator, assistant coach for the Boston Youth Soccer League and the Boston Youth Baseball League, is currently a Colden Elementary School Volunteer, belongs to their PTA, and a is member of D’Youville’s Campus Ministry.
Andreeff is a graduate of Gannon University, earned her Master of Physician Assistant Studies at the University of Nebraska, a Master's degree in Education and Doctorate of Health Education at D’Youville.
