Chiropractic Professor Represents DYC at NBCE Test Committee Meeting

Buffalo, New York – March 03, 2014 – Jeffrey S. Ware, D.C., assistant professor of chiropractic at D’Youville College participated in the annual Part III Test Committee meeting held on Feb. 21-22, 2014, at the headquarters of the National Board of Chiropractic Examiners (NBCE) in Greeley, Colorado.

Serving as a representative of D’Youville College, Dr. Ware was one of seven participants from across the United States chosen to analyze and select questions for the Part III written examination. Test committee members are nominated by members of the NBCE Board of Directors or chiropractic colleges based on expertise in clinical practice.

Part III measures clinical competency for entry-level practitioners in nine areas: case history, physical examination, neuromusculoskeletal examination, digital imaging, clinical laboratory and special studies examination, diagnosis or clinical impression, chiropractic techniques, supportive techniques, and case management. The test committee developed exams that the NBCE will administer in fall 2014 and spring 2015.

NBCE examinations are offered twice yearly at chiropractic college testing sites in the United States and in several foreign countries. The Part III Examination is part of a battery of tests that candidates must pass prior to becoming licensed doctors of chiropractic. NBCE examinations are accepted for initial licensure in all 50 states and the District of Columbia.

Headquartered in Greeley, Colo., the NBCE is the international testing organization for the chiropractic profession. Established in 1963, the NBCE develops, administers and scores standardized written examinations for candidates seeking chiropractic licensure throughout the United States and in several foreign countries. The NBCE also produces and administers a practical skills examination for use in chiropractic licensure.
