Undergraduate Scholarships

Three out of four incoming undergraduate students at D'Youville College receive an institutional scholarship or grant.

These scholarship awards are based on merit or achievement in a specific area and do not need to be repaid. Our average award is $6,600 and is renewable every year based on your academic record. D'Youville offers the following scholarships:


 

Merit Scholarships

The Office of Admissions automatically awards institutional merit scholarships at the time you are admitted to D'Youville College.

Undergraduate students will be notified in their acceptance letter if they've been selected. Award letters are mailed to selected graduate students in late spring, if entering in the fall, or in the fall for spring semester enrollees. All scholarship awards are subject to the undergraduate merit scholarship policies.


 

Honors Scholarship

Awarded to freshmen with a high school GPA of 88 or better and a combined math/critical reading SAT score of 1100 (or a 24 on the ACT).


 

Academic Distinction Scholarship

Awarded to freshmen with high school GPA of an 80 or better and a combined math/critical reading SAT score of 1000 (or a 21 on the ACT).

Duration: 4-5 years (depending on length of program), provided that the student maintains a minimum 2.5 GPA.


 

D'Youville Achievement Scholarship

Awarded to freshmen with a high school GPA of 80 or better and a combined math/critical reading SAT score of 900 (or a 19 on the ACT). Any student with a 90 or higher GPA can receive this award.


 

Transfer Achievement Scholarship

Transfer students with a cumulative GPA of 2.75 or higher are considered for this award.

Dillon Scholarship

Awarded to one student annually. Applications must be postmarked by February 15, 2014. Applicants must meet the following criteria to apply:

Award: Full tuition and 25% off room and board fees.

Duration: 4-5 years (depending on length of program), provided that the student maintains a minimum 2.75 GPA.

Say Yes Scholarship

D’Youville College has partnered with Say Yes to Education to award a full tuition scholarship to two deserving students who are graduating from a Buffalo Public High School or a charter high school located in Buffalo, NY. To be eligible for consideration, you must meet the following criteria:

Award: Full tuition.

Duration: 4-5 years (depending on length of program), provided that the student maintains a minimum 2.75 GPA.


 

Diocese of Buffalo Catholic High School Scholarship

Awarded to one student annually. Applications must be postmarked by April 1, 2014. Applicants must meet the following criteria to apply:

Award: Full tuition and 25% off room and board fees.

Duration: 4-5 years (depending on length of program), provided that the student maintains a minimum 2.75 GPA.

Health Analytics - Blue Cross Blue Shield of WNY Scholarship

In cooperation with Blue Cross Blue Shield of Western New York (BCBS of WNY), D'Youville College offers the Health Analytics Scholarship. The recipient of this award will also earn a guaranteed internship with BCBS of WNY during the second semester of the last two years of the program. Applications are due July 10, 2014. Applicants must meet the following criteria to apply:

Award: The scholarship is in the amount of $2,500 per academic year.

Duration: Scholarship is renewable for four years.

Sister Mary Charlotte Barton Kinship Scholarship

Recipients are selected by a committee composed of members of the Alumni Board of Directors. Applications are due March 1, 2014. Applicants must meet the following criteria to apply:

Award: Past awards have ranged from $500-$2,000 and are contingent on Alumni Association funding.

Duration: Scholarship is available for one year. Applications must be resubmitted each year to be eligible for consideration.
