D’Youville, an independent, coeducational institution located in Buffalo, chartered in 1908 offers baccalaureate, master, and doctoral level programs. Named for St. Marguerite d'Youville, and based on our Catholic tradition, the college offers a broad range of programs centered on academic excellence, critical thinking, and service, recognizing the importance of spiritual development as an integral part of a full intellectual life.  D’Youville College maintains a very diverse student population of about 3,000 students.

As a community of scholars, D’Youville College values the free exchange of ideas and encourages diverse points of view and the rigorous examination of assumptions.

Our philosophy is that through lifelong learning, educated people are committed to use their talents to contribute to the betterment of the local and world communities, and seek excellence in their personal and professional endeavors.  D’Youville College believes that there are four foundation stones in an effective learning environment:  academic preparation, practical experience, a consistent value structure and a concern for the betterment of the community.
