Nursing Lab Assistant

The Lab Assistant (LA) will primarily support the Clinical Skills Lab Coordinator and faculty teaching nursing laboratory courses in the School of Nursing. This individual will work under the guidance and instruction of the faculty and the supervision of the Clinical Skills Lab Coordinator.

Job Details

Minimum requirements include a baccalaureate degree in nursing and a current license to practice as a Registered Nurse in New York State. In addition, the LA should be comfortable in a Nursing practice laboratory setting, be knowledgeable and able to demonstrate procedures and skills necessary for safe clinical nursing practice. The LA must be a mature, assertive, organized, individual with superior interpersonal and communication skills. The LA must be a self-starter that is productive, independent and competent.

Required Qualifications include: earned bachelor's degree in a health profession, education, or a related field; experience in medical surgical/acute care environment.
