Part time Assistant Professor, Occupational Therapy

D'Youville College, Department of Occupational Therapy, is searching for a dynamic, responsible occupational therapist who has academic experience in teaching and is qualified to fill a part-time faculty position at the rank of Assistant Professor. This appointment is available to begin immediately in the 2017-18 academic year. More than 800 students have graduated from one of the two entry-level OT programs: the BS/MS OT program or the MSOT program. The dual degree BS/MS program, which culminates in a BS in Human Occupation/& MS in Occupational Therapy, has to its credit the history of being the first OT dual degree program in the U.S., accredited in 1990. The more recent MS program began in 2002. Both programs are housed in the Occupational Therapy Department, which is one of 8 departments in the School of Health Professions.

Job Details

This part-time, 10-month position includes responsibilities teaching in the BS/MS and/or MS OT Program and contributing to the business of the department, college and community. As part of a formidable team, the right candidate will have the opportunity to work with students throughout their professional preparation. Emphasis on occupation-based learning and community practice contribute to the strong curricula. The incorporation of service learning matches the college mission of service to others, which has been a focus of D’Youville College since its founding.

Qualifications: Occupational Therapist licensed and registered (or eligible for New York State Licensure) with a Doctorate (PhD, EdD, ScD or OTD) preferred. Faculty position to begin in August of 2017.
