Health Careers Opportunity Program (HCOP)

HCOP is open to students regardless of their religion, race, color, national origin, gender, age or disability.

The Health Careers Opportunity Programs (HCOP) is a federally-funded recruitment, outreach and academic support program for disadvantaged high school and current college students interested in careers in healthcare.

Application Requirements

We are currently not accepting students for any of our programs

Summer Enrichment Program

Admission to the Summer Enrichment Program is open to 25 high school students, who have completed their junior year and are interested in a healthcare profession. Students must meet HCOP eligibility requirements.


Pre-Matriculation Program

Admission to the Pre-Matriculation Program is open to 25 full-time D'Youville College students, who wish to matriculate into one of six health professions majors. Students must meet HCOP eligibility requirements.


Retention Program

Admission to the Retention Program is open to 25 full-time D'Youville College students, with a current major in one of six health professions majors. Students must meet HCOP eligibility requirements.

HCOP is funded by a grant from the U.S. Dept. of Health and Human Services, Health Resources and Services Administration, Bureau of Health Professions.
