John Garfoot was appointed Vice President for Finance – Treasurer at D’Youville College in February of 2015. He was previously the Vice President of Administration at Jamestown Community College, a position in which he had served for eight years.

Prior to working at JCC, he served as Vice President of Institutional Advancement at Canisius High School, Senior Vice President and CFO of the United Way of Buffalo and Erie County, Director of Budget and Reimbursement of National Health Care Affiliates, and Senior Financial Administrator of the County of Erie in Buffalo, New York.

He has served and currently serves on a number of boards of not-for-profit organizations, and enjoyed membership of the “Group of 200” who provided input into the SUNY Strategic Planning process.
