Season Preview
Head coach Nick Bolea enters his first-year leading the Spartans. . In 2011 D'Youville had a breakout season in just their second-year as a varsity program. The Spartans went 4-4 in dual matches, qualified and thenplaced fourth out of sixat the Allegheny Mountain Collegiate Conference championship.
Steve Beatty (Grand Island, NY/Grand Island) returns and will be at the top of the ladder again for the Spartans, playing first singles and first doubles. Last season Beatty was 8-3 overall in singles and 8-3 in doubles play.
Rob Amabile (Elma, NY/Iroquois) and Marc Moyer (Springville, NY/Springville)also had winning records overall in singles play and are experienced doubles players. John Krieg (Salem, NY/Long Trail) won last season's Most Improved award and Tylor Valliancourt (East Amherst, NY/Holland) was the recipient of the team's Spartan Award.
The season begins February 19 against Edinboro in Erie, PA and the first home match is February 25 versus Alfred University.
For the third-straight season D'Youville will play their home matches at Western New Yorks premeire tennis facility, Miller Tennis Center (5959 Sheridan Dr.; Williamsville, NY).

Season Preview
First-year coach Nick Bolea inherits a Spartan program coming off a great 2010 season. D'Youville was 9-1 in match play and finished second at the Allegheny Mountain Collegiate College championship in the program's second season of existance.
The Spartans are poised for another great season with four players returning players from last season. Samantha Rowen (East Amherst, NY/Williamsville East) was 9-1 in first singles last season and was 11-1 as part of a first doubles team. Jessica Lampka (Lancaster, NY/Lancaster) was 7-3 in singles last year and Angela Poblocki (Akron, NY/Akron) was 8-2 in singles. Rowen, Lampka, and Poblocki are all sophomores.
The team's veteran is Ali Mascioletti (Hilton, NY/Hilton) entering her third season with the Spartans. In 2010 Mascioletti was 5-3 in singles play, teamed with Lampka to win five out of eight in doubles, and was a winner of an AMCC Player of the Week award.
Katie Roland (Victor, NY/Victor) and Jessica Collins (Rochester, NY/Gates-Chili) did not play in 2010 but were valuable contributing members of the 2009 team.
Joining the roster and projected to be high on the ladder is freshman Meghan Atallah (Kenmore, NY/Mount St. Mary Academy).
D'Youville begins the season September 9th at Alfred University.
