Head Coach Matthew McCormick

Matt McCormick begins his fourth year as head coach of the Spartans. Under McCormick’s guidance the D’Youville program has been rebuilt from the ground up to become a very competitive unit in the Allegheny Mountain Collegiate Conference. In 2009 the Spartans posted their highest single-season win total since 2003 and just missed qualifying for the AMCC playoffs.
Prior to his arrival at D'Youville, McCormick spent one year as the assistant coach at King's College (PA) and recorded numerous coaching experiences overseeing local teams in northeastern Pennsylvania.
As a player, Coach McCormick played for the Forty Fort Soccer Club (1985-1992), the West Side United Soccer Club (1992-1996) and the Northeast Attack Soccer Club (1997-1998).
Coach McCormick has a National “D” Coaching License from the United States Soccer Federation with future plans to pursue a “C” license. McCormick, also holds the State Goalkeeping License from the NSCAA.
Originally from Forty Fort, PA, Coach McCormick currently resides in Buffalo with his wife Debbie and their daughter Morgan.
