D’Youville Historic Campaign Exceeds $20 Million Goal.

As of November 15, 2017, we are pleased to report that The D'Youville Campaign has gone over the $20 million mark! “We celebrate the realization of a dream, we know that behind every dream are dreamers, those who had the capacity to imagine something new and different right here at the D’Youville campus,” said President Lorrie A. Clemo.

The capital campaign ran from late 2014 until 2017, resulting in support for these major initiatives:

School of Arts, Sciences and Education Building

Dr. Charles and Mary Schweitzer Bauer School of Arts, Sciences and Education Building - In November 2012, D'Youville purchased the Gateway-Longview building at 591 Niagara Street and began renovations in early 2014 after various remediation preparations the previous year. The $24.5 million facility was completed in time for the fall 2015 semester. The building houses a mix of faculty and administration offices; 19 state-of-the art research and teaching laboratories; nine smart classrooms; and shared conference areas.

Dobson Field

The acquisition and renovation of Dobson Field kicked off a new era in D'Youville Athletics. A few blocks west of campus, at the foot of Porter Avenue, D'Youville's new $5.5 million athletic field complex boasts multi-sport LED scoreboards, a 20,000 square-foot locker room and training facility, an artificially surfaced field for all-season play, spectator's grandstand-style bleachers, plus onsite parking. Dobson Field opened in August 2015.

Roche Center for Mission Integration

The Roche Center for Mission Integration honors the legacy of Sister Denise Roche who retired in 2016 after serving 37 years as D'Youville's president. The Roche Center for Mission Integration develops a consciousness of the Catholic Grey Nun mission and ensures its implementation and integration into the D'Youville community and the College's strategic plan. In June 2016, the Rev. Dr. Robert J. Perelli, C.J.M, was named Vice President for Mission Integration to undertake the Center's goals.

Student Support and Scholarship

Student Support and Scholarship - The Campaign contributed vital support for our students, making a D'Youville education more affordable than ever. Some form of aid is given to 81% of our undergraduate students, while 35% of our students are the first generation in their families to attend college and 42% of them are from families with household incomes below $40,000. The Campaign bolstered the 25% portion of the College's budget dedicated to financial aid.

The support from members of all D'Youville constituencies is greatly appreciated - with a particular thanks to the college's outstanding alumni!
