RED, WHITE & YOU - REUNION WEEKEND 2017

Formerly known as Homecoming, Red, White and You Weekend brings alumni back to the D'Youville campus to connect with their alma mater for a three-day event, September 29 - October 1.

This year's event will spotlight class years ending in 2 & 7, including our golden anniversary class of 1967.

Friday, Sept. 29

Mass of Celebration

Campus Celebration Luncheon

Installation of Dr. Lorrie Clemo, 15th President of D’Youville College

Masters of Architecture Tour by Explore Buffalo

Time: 10:00 AM – 12:00 PM
Cost: $15/person
Location: The tour meets outside the Western New York Arts Center, 468 Washington (at the corner of Washington and Mohawk Streets) in downtown Buffalo.
Parking: On street parking is free in downtown Buffalo on weekends. The nearest public parking ramp is the Mohawk Ramp, 477 Washington Street.

At the turn of the twentieth century, Buffalo was the eighth largest city in America and the city's businesses, organizations, and citizens had the financial resources to hire the best architects and craftsman and use the finest materials available. See signature works by some of America's greatest architects on this downtown walking tour, and learn about the prominence of Buffalo on a national scale.

This is a 90 minute to two hour tour.  Wear comfortable shoes and dress for the weather – the tour will proceed rain or shine. Cameras are encouraged. Note that the RSVP date (with payment) for this event is September 15 in order to accommodate the ticket office at Explore Buffalo.

After the tour, have lunch at the Pan American Grill & Brewery at the Hotel Lafayette and receive 10% off your meal.

Forest Lawn Trolley Tour

Time: 1:00 – 3:00 PM
Cost: $25/person
Location: Meet at the Margaret L. Wendt Archive and Resource Center, 990 Main Street. Buffalo, NY, 14208-1075.

Ride in climate-controlled comfort on the Forest Lawn Trolley as you hear about their historic and beautifully landscaped grounds on this two-hour tour led by a trained docent. Learn about the history, including the rural cemetery movement, art and architecture, trees, waterways and wildlife and, most importantly, learn more about many of their residents.

Seating is limited.

Directions: 
The center is located on the grounds of Forest Lawn on Main Street corner Jefferson Avenue and is adjacent to the Erie County American Legion Veterans Section of the cemetery and directly opposite the Canisius College Academic Tower. There is a sign in front of the building that says Margaret L. Wendt Archive and Resource Center.

To get to the Margaret L. Wendt Archive and Resource Center from Route 33.

Take Route 33 to the NY 198. The first exit on the right is Main Street. Turn left on Kensington and then left on Main Street. Stay to the far right on Main Street and the entrance is just past the light that is the entrance to Canisius College.

If you enter Forest Lawn at Delaware Avenue, just follow the blue line on the road. That will take you to the Margaret L. Wendt Archive and Resource Center. There is plenty of free parking in front of the building and in a side lot next to the finance office.  

Presidential Gala
