Class of: 2016
Hometown: Hamburg, NY
Well, other than being a Student Ambassador, I was elected to be Sophomore Senator in Student Association. I help decide different things that occur at D’Youville. Also, I'm in Programming Committee. We put on different events for students.
I chose D'Youville because of the small class sizes. I think it's great to know everyone in your class and to be able to actually talk to your teachers and get help.

My favorite class was history with Professor Glodzik. I was actually in class with my cousin, who would always answer questions and talk while I would zone out. Then one day I answered a question; he was so shocked that it was me instead of my cousin. After that day I wouldn't stop talking in his class. It was great. We would always joke around.
I chose nursing because of my mom. She's a nurse and she loves it. I love the fact that one day I could help save lives. My senior year in high school I did an internship at Mercy Hospital. I found out that I want to be a cardiac nurse practitioner. I'm so fascinated by it. My goal is to one day work in the cardiac catheter lab. D'Youville is helping me make my dream come true with the classes I'm taking.
I go to school full time while balancing a part time job off campus and doing work study at school. Also, I wasn't the most outgoing girl in high school. I wasn't really involved. So now in college I'm trying to make up for that by doing as much as I can here at D'Youville!
