“I decided to come to D'Youville for Occupational Therapy because I liked how it was a direct entry into my program and that I would graduate college in five years.”
I am involved in Programming Committee here at D'Youville. I believe it is good to get involved because you get to meet new people and make connections. When I was new at D'Youville I only knew a few people. Once I joined Programming Committee, I got to meet other freshmen and upper classmen and I was able to form friendships. It made me feel comfortable going to school where I knew people in my classes. I also had the opportunity to do community service through Campus Ministry and I gave back to the Buffalo Community by volunteering at the Friends of Night People.
In five years, I see myself working in a hospital in the neonatal unit or working in geriatrics. I also hope to one day have my own practice after a couple years of experience as an Occupational Therapist. I decided to come to D'Youville for Occupational Therapy because I liked how it was a direct entry into my program and that I would graduate college in five years. D’Youville also gave me a generous scholarship which made tuition more affordable. I decided to major in Occupational Therapy because I want to make a difference in individuals' lives.
