“Playing a sport demands good time management because you have to balance sports with academics.”
I am involved in many different things on campus including Athletics Committee, Student Association, Club Hockey and many others. I definitely recommend others to get involved because the activities are a lot of fun and really help with my development beyond the classroom. They also help tremendously with time management.
Currently I am on the baseball team. Typically we practice at night after classes are over. We are a part of the Allegany Mountain Collegiate Conference. We mainly travel to different areas in Pennsylvania for away games. (The longest drive is about 5 hours.) Athletics has had the biggest impact on my time management skills. Playing a sport demands good time management because you have to balance sports with academics.
I am on the path to become a physical therapist. Along the way I will pick up a bachelor's degree in Exercise & Sports Studies. I think the way the program is set up is attractive. The ESS program gives you a nice transition into PT school.
I try to put others before myself. I love helping other people in any way I can. I have tried to get involved in as many things possible so far in my short career at DYC. I put a lot of time and effort into extracurricular activities because I think they are important and I enjoy doing them. I also enjoy putting on events that other students can enjoy so they can get away from their academics for a while. I plan to continue being involved and try to get other people involved in student activities.TOP
