Applying to D'Youville Is Easy

Applying to college is a big step in your academic life. We do everything possible to make the application process a smooth one for you.

Start by reviewing the list of requirements in the Apply Now! section below. It outlines the materials you'll need to submit, in addition to completing the online application.

If you're not a U.S. citizen and your high school, university or college was in another country, follow the application instructions for Canadian or international students. If you're applying to the ADVANCE business management program, follow the ADVANCE application instructions. For incoming freshmen who are homeschooled, follow homeschool application instructions.

Freshmen Applicants

  • Create an account in our application portal (if you don't already have one). Once you create your account, complete our online application.
  • Forward one official copy of your high school transcript.
  • Forward SAT and/or ACT scores. Contact your school counselor for assistance, or contact the ACT/SAT testing organizations directly.
  • For all programs other than physician assistant, letters of recommendation and essays are encouraged but optional. Note: All essays and requests for letters of recommendation can be completed through the application portal once you submit your application. 

Freshman Applicants for Physician Assistant

Physician Assistant applications must be completed and submitted by December 1.

  • Create an account in our application portal (if you don't already have one). Once you create your account, complete our online application.
  • Forward one official copy of your high school transcript.
  • Forward SAT and/or ACT scores. Contact your school counselor for assistance, or contact the ACT/SAT testing organizations directly.
  • Complete the physician assistant application essay and provide 3 personal references (both are available in the application portal after you submit your application).
  • Applicants to the Physician Assistant program are required to complete at least 80 hours of direct patient interaction. You'll need to have your supervisor submit the verification form for this requirement. Note: The form is available in the application portal after you submit your application.

Transfer Applicants

  • Create an account in our application portal (if you don't already have one). Once you create your account, complete our online application.
  • Forward official transcripts from all colleges/universities you are currently or have previously attended. 
  • For all programs other than physician assistant, letters of recommendation and essays are encouraged but optional. Note: All essays and requests for letters of recommendation can be completed through the application portal once you submit your application. 
  • Prior to enrollment, you may be asked to provide proof of high school graduation or equivalent. 

Transfer Applicants for Physician Assistant

Physician Assistant applications for Transfer Students must be completed and submitted by November 1.

  • D'Youville College is now accepting applications to the physician assistant program using the CASPA application. Do not complete the D'Youville College online application. Note: Applications submitted through the D'Youville application portal will not be accepted after May 19, 2015.
  • Submit transcripts for all previous college credits, including courses in progress to CASPA.
  • Letters of recommendation and an essay are required and must be completed within the CASPA application.
  • Applicants to the Physician Assistant program are required to complete at least 80 hours of direct patient interaction. You'll need to have your supervisor submit the verification form for this requirement through CASPA.
  • If selected to advance in our application process, applicants must complete an on-campus interview with faculty, students and preceptors in the D'Youville College Physician Assistant Department.
  • Prior to enrollment, you may be asked to provide proof of high school graduation or equivalent. 

 

When Will You Hear?

D'Youville has a rolling admissions policy. The earlier you apply, the earlier you will be notified of a decision. Decisions are typically mailed within 6 weeks of a completed application. Physician Assistant applicants receive admission decisions within 3-4 weeks following their on-campus interview.
