Admissions Agreements

D'Youville has established admissions agreements with other colleges and universities.

An admission agreement, also known as an articulation agreement is a contract between two institutions to provide a simplified pathway for transfer from one school to another. The result is a formalized plan acknowledging eligible coursework for transfer to the partner institution and other stipulations.

Buffalo & Western New York

Bryant and Stratton (Buffalo, NY)

  • Transfer students at second or third year level in Bryant and Stratton's accounting program can transfer to Accounting (BS) program at D'Youville
  • Transfer students at second or third-year level in Bryant and Stratton's business management or marketing and sales programs can enter the Business Management (BS) program at D'Youville

Canisius College (Buffalo, NY)

Erie Community College / ECC (Buffalo, NY)

  • Business Administration (AAS) graduates of ECC can enter the Business Management (BS) program at D'Youville
  • Business Administration (AAS) graduates of ECC can enter the International Business (BS+MS) program at D'Youville
  • Business Administration majors in their second or third year at ECC can enter the Accounting (BS) or Business Management (BS) programs at D'Youville College
  • Liberal Arts and Science in General Studies (AAS) graduates of ECC can enter the History (BA) program at D'Youville College
  • Liberal Arts and Science in General Studies (AAS) graduates of ECC can enter the Exercise Sports Studies (DPT Track) at D'Youville College

Associate in Arts (AA) or Associate in Science (AS) graduates of JCC can enter the following academic programs at D'Youville College:

Trocaire College (Buffalo, NY)

  • Associate in Applied Science (AS) or Associate in Arts in Business (AA) graduates of Trocaire can enter the ADVANCE Business Management (BS) program
  • Associate in Applied Science (AS) or Associate in Arts in Business (AA) graduates of Trocaire can enter the Business Management (BS) program
  • Transfer students at second or third year level in transfer concentration, hotel management, sales and marketing, health information technology, healthcare office management programs can enter the Business Management (BS) program at D'Youville
  • Graduates of the Liberal Arts Associate in Arts (AA) program can enter the English (BA) or History (BA) programs at D'Youville
  • Associate in Applied Science (AS) or Associate in Arts in Business (AA) graduates can enter the International Business (BS+MS) program at D'Youville
  • Liberal Arts Associate in Arts (AA) graduates can enter the Liberal Studies (BA) + Liberal Studies/Education (BA/MS) at D'Youville College

Villa Maria College (Buffalo, NY)

  • Transfer students from Villa, at second or third year level in business management program can enter D'Youville's Business Management (BS) program

Canada

Humber College (Toronto, Ontario)

  • Students at Humber College who complete the two-semester certificate or four-semester diploma in the General Arts and Science Program with a minimum GPA of 70% will be admitted to a bachelor's program (120 credits) at D'Youville College with advanced standing equivalent to 30 or 60 credit hours, respectively.

Niagara College (Niagara Falls, Ontario)

Students of Niagara College who complete the two-year general Arts and Sciences Diploma can be admitted into the third year of the following programs at D'Youville College:

  • Education (BA and BA/MS)
  • International Business (BS/MS)
  • Psychology (BA)

Seneca College (Toronto, Ontario)

  • Joint Program in Accounting (BS)
  • Joint Program with Business Management (BS)
  • Joint program in Psychology (BA)
  • Transfer students from Seneca at second or third year level in accounting/finance or business administration programs can enter the Accounting (BS) program at D'Youville College
  • Transfer students from Seneca at second or third year level in accounting program or transfer concentration can enter the Accounting (BS) program
  • Transfer students at Seneca at second or third year level in business administration program can transfer to Business Management (BS) at D'Youville
  • Seneca College students who complete the two-year or three-year international business diplomas with GPA of 3.0 or better are eligible for acceptance into third or fourth year of D'Youville's International Business program (BS+MS) program.

Sheridan College (Oakville, Ontario)

  • Joint Program in English (BA)
  • Joint program in Global Studies (BA)

UNITED STATES

Lake Erie College of Osteopathic Medicine (LECOM)

D'Youville College now partners with Lake Erie College of Osteopathic Medicine (LECOM) to offer well qualified students provisional early acceptance to LECOM's School of Dental Medicine or College of Osteopathic Medicine. Hope Medical Institute (Newport News, Virginia)

Hope Medical Institute is an international institute maintaining affiliations and cooperative working relationships with schools of medicine throughout the world.

  • Any student at D'Youville College who is interested in the medical field should contact the Career Services Center at D'Youville College to learn more about the admissions agreement and requirements.
  • The admissions department at Hope Medical Institute will consider every qualified student from D'Youville College, as long as the student has been cleared for admissions consideration by DYC, using agreed upon guidelines.

Massachusetts College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences (Boston, Massachusetts)

 

Europe

Balassi Balint Institute (Budapest, Hungary)

Special agreement allowing D'Youville College students who are enrolled in the following majors, to earn a full year's college credit:

china

Guangxi University of Chinese Medicine (Nanning, Guangxi Province, China)

D'Youville has a joint undergraduate program in nursing with Guangxi University. During this unique partial English speaking program, Chinese students take three years of English language nursing classes at Guangxi University and then qualified students will travel to D'Youville for two more years of classes in what is called a "3 plus 2" program. They will earn two degrees, one from each institution and be able to work in the U.S. or China.

D'Youville College has an established Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with Guangxi University of Chinese Medicine. The MOU focuses on three general areas including:

  • Cooperation of Master's/Doctoral degrees in medical education
  • Development of a summer camp for Guangxi University students offering the students an opportunity to experience English and medical course work while enjoying the WNY culture and area
  • Exchange of information as a basis for the establishment of joint research program

India

St. Andrew's College of Arts, Science & Commerce (Mumbai, India)

The agreement will provide current St. Andrew' students with the opportunity to matriculate into the International Business program at D'Youville and earn a combined bachelor's and master's degree (BS/MS).

St. Andrew's students who complete specific courses and meet established qualifications in their college will automatically be accepted into the fourth year of D'Youville's program. All St. Andrew's College students will automatically be considered for academic merit scholarships upon acceptance.
