School of Pharmacy

Welcome to the D'Youville School of Pharmacy. Here, students are prepared for a career on the front lines of healthcare including clinical, research, and retail services.

According to studies from the Pharmacy Workforce Center, a Pharmacist's importance in the continuum of patient care is rapidly increasing. Pharmacists are not only drug information experts — able to assess potential effects and interactions — they are also trusted advisors to patients on everything from preventive care to wellness, to diet and more.

D'Youville's School of Pharmacy offers three-year pathways both in-person or online. These ACPE-accredited Pharm.D program prepare students not only for their doctoral education but also for their eventual role as practitioners with the practical, hands-on experience that future pharmacists need.

Students who successfully complete all curriculum requirements will be awarded a doctorate of pharmacy (Pharm.D) and will be eligible to sit for both the North American Pharmacist Licensure Examination (NAPLEX) and Multistate Pharmacy Jurisprudence Examination (MPJE), developed and administered by the National Association of Boards of Pharmacy (NABP).

The School of Pharmacy at D’Youville offers real-world, value-added education for future Pharmacy professionals so they can maximize their career prospects and versatility in the marketplace. From special certifications to concentrations to combined degrees, our graduates are solid earners serving at the top of their field. But that’s not all! Through international and service experiences, strong support in small classes, and a curriculum centered on diversity and inclusion — D’Youville pharmacy alumni are transforming communities through a human-centered approach to care.
