Entrance criteria for our graduate academic programs varies. Please find answers in the following sections or contact us with questions.

General Admission Criteria

D'Youville selects students who are academically well-rounded and committed to meeting the challenges of a high quality education. Students entering D'Youville College's graduate programs must meet the following minimum entrance criteria:

Requirements

You need to have earned a baccalaureate degree from an accredited college or university. The exceptions are ourchiropractic and pharmacy doctoral programs:

  • Chiropractic: Students who have completed at least 90 credits of a bachelor of science degree may apply to the chiropractic program.
  • Pharmacy: Students who have completed at least 65 credit hours of a bachelors of science degree may apply to the pharmacy program.
Your undergraduate record should be a B average of better in the major field.
If you don't fulfill admission requirements, you may be admitted provisionally.
Applicants whose native language is not English must submit a minimum TOEFL score of 550. Students who complete D'Youville's Intensive English Program do not need to take the TOEFL exam.

Forward Your Transcripts

A separate official transcript must be received from each institution you previously attended.

When will you hear?

D'Youville has a rolling admissions policy. The earlier you apply, the earlier you will be notified of a decision. Decisions are typically mailed within 6 weeks of a completed application.

Accept Your Admissions Offer

If you're accepted to D'Youville, you'll receive a packet of information, including a "Guide for Accepted Students" handbook.

To secure your place at D'Youville, make sure to submit the enrollment deposit online, by mail, or in person. Your payment must be postmarked by May 1 (fall applicants) or January 1 (spring applicants). This deposit confirms your place for the next term and is non-refundable after the deposit deadline.


ADVANCE Applicants

Follow the the steps below to apply to the ADVANCE Business Management program at D'Youville.

Submit Your Application

The ADVANCE Program is for students who have already completed two or more years of college with at least a 2.0 GPA and now wish to complete their bachelor's degree.

  1. Create an account in our application portal (if you don't already have one). Once you create your account, complete our online application. If you can't complete the application in one sitting, that's okay. You can access the form as often as you like.

Tip: Keep your username and password in an easy-to-find location.

  • Forward one official copy of your high school transcript or GED and one official academic transcript from each college you have attended.
  • Optional: Include a resume and a letter highlighting any personal factors that may have affected your previous academic performance.

Follow the steps below to apply to the Graduate Occupational Therapy program at D'Youville.

The Occupational Therapy Department at D'Youville is participating in the Occupational Therapist Centralized Application Service, known as OTCAS. Applicants to the master's in occupational therapy program for the 2017 entering class are encouraged to apply online through the OTCAS application. To apply to D'Youville's OT program visit OTCAS at www.otcas.org.


Physical Therapy Applicants

Follow the steps below to apply to the Graduate Physical Therapy program at D'Youville.

The Physical Therapy Department at D'Youville is participating in the Physical Therapist Centralized Application Service, known as PTCAS. Applicants to the Doctor of Physical Therapy program for the 2017 entering class must apply online through the PTCAS application. To apply to D'Youville's DPT program visit PTCAS at www.ptcas.org.
