When you apply for admission at D’Youville you'll automatically be considered for our merit scholarships which can cover as much as 50% of your tuition. 

Last year, nearly 90% of students at D'Youville received a scholarship or grant from our institution. First year in college students and transfer students are automatically considered for our merit scholarships — no need to fill out a separate application. 

Our commitment to making college affordable to everyone, also extends to connecting our students with scholarships and grants from our donor community and enabling simple access to external scholarships.

Freshmen Leadership Scholars Program

Eligible candidates for the program will be emailed directly by the Admissions staff starting in January 2020. This program is not a need-based scholarship. Students from all income levels are selected based upon their involvement in a leadership position in their high school or community as well as their academic achievement.

Scholarship Eligibility Scholarship Amount

Leadership Scholars program

  • A high school average of 80 or higher.
  • First-year, full-time status entering D’Youville in the Fall semester.
  • Submission of all required materials including completed application, essay, and letter of reference.
  • Proven record of participation and leadership in high school and/or the community.
  • Admission to D’Youville as a full-time student.
$1,000 renewable each semester with a maintained: 
  • Level of active participation in one campus club or organization.
  • Participation of all Leadership Scholars activities; includes scheduled program workshops and activities (1-3 meetings per month).
  • Minimum cumulative GPA of 2.25.

Donor-Funded and External Scholarships

Designed with simplicity in mind, as an enrolled student at D'Youville you will have access to ScholarshipUniverse, an online scholarship matching software. After answering a series of questions, you'll be able to see which scholarships you're eligible for on the national, local, and even institutional levels. And throughout your education you'll be able to find new scholarships and be notified if you are eligible for new opportunities as they become available.

Full Tuition

Duration: 4-5 years (depending on length of program), provided that the student maintains a minimum GPA of 2.75

Awarded to one student annually. Applications must be received by March 15, 2021

Diocese of Buffalo Catholic High School Scholarship

Full Tuition

Duration: 4-5 years (depending on length of program), provided that the student maintains a minimum GPA a 2.75

Awarded to one student annually. Applications must be received by March 15, 2021. Applicants must be a graduate of a Catholic high school in the Diocese of Buffalo.

Potrafke Scholarship


Duration: 4 years, provided that the student maintain a minimum GPA of 2.75. 

Awarded to one student annually.  Applications must be received by February 1.  Applicants must be admitted to D'Youville as a Biology, Chemistry, or Pharmaceutical Sciences major, with Pharmacy as an advisement track.

Full Tuition

D'Youville is proud to offer unlimited Say Yes Full-Tuition Scholarships to high school students who graduate from a Say Yes eligible schools.

Sister Mary Charlotte Barton Alumni Kinship Scholarship

$250 - $1,000

Only open to family members of D'Youville alumni. Recipients are selected by a committee composed of members of the Alumni Association Board of Directors. Students must reapply each year. Applications open each spring semester. For more information visit our Scholarship Universe page. 

Health Analytics - Blue Cross Blue Shield of WNY Scholarship

$2,500 per academic year

Duration: Renewable for 4 years.

In cooperation with Blue Cross Blue Shield of Western New York (BCBS of WNY), D'Youville College offers the Health Analytics Scholarship. The recipient of this award will also earn a guaranteed internship with BCBS of WNY during the second semester of the last two years of the program. Applicants must gain admission to the Health Analytics BS program for the fall enrollment term of the academic year.
