Canadian Application Instructions
Thank you for applying to one of D’Youville's outstanding programs! Please review the supplemental information regarding the application process, immigration requirements and tuition deposits.
Application Process
Official transcripts or school records of secondary education and university work must be issued in English. Otherwise, the World Education Service must evaluate the transcripts. Visit www.wes.org and follow the instructions to download and complete a transcript evaluation application. The World Education Service will return evaluated transcripts directly to the D’Youville College Admissions office.
Tuition Deposits
Undergraduate Students: Admissions decisions are made once all documents have been received, reviewed and evaluated by the Admissions Office. Once accepted, a non-refundable reservation deposit of $100 must be paid in US funds. ($150 for Occupational Therapy, Physical Therapy, Dietetics, Physician Assistant) This deposit will be applied to the first semester’s tuition.
Graduate Students: Admissions decisions are made once all documents have been received, reviewed and evaluated by the Graduate Admissions Office. Once accepted, a non-refundable reservation deposit of $300 in US funds must be submitted to the Graduate Admissions Office. This deposit will be applied to the first semester’s tuition.
Immigration Requirements
All Canadian citizens and permanent residents must obtain a Federal Form I-20. Your I-20 form will be issued after submitting your tuition deposit (the same amount as US students), the international student financial forms and supporting bank documentation. Instructions will be given with your I-20 on how to process it at the border. Permanent residents in Canada must make an appointment at a US consulate in order to obtain a student visa. Also, Canadian students may attend school in the US on a part-time basis but may not live in the United States.
