The D'Youville campus is a connected hub of resources designed around delivering you
the best experience — inside and outside of the classroom. Making sure you're ready
to use those resources, starts here.
Getting around the D'Youville campus is as simple as a swipe with our card readers
installed at building entries and our automated system ensures the safety of us all
through access permissions around specific spaces and times. You should have received
an email about ordering your card, but, in case, you missed it, be sure to order it now.
If you're going to commute to class or you'll have a car on campus, the D'Youville
parking pass provides access to our parking lots. There's even a free option with
parking in select parking lots. And whether or not you plan on being a permit holder,
all students have free access to our on campus shuttle to get around campus, The Red Bus.
You should have already received an email about orientation, and, if you haven't completed
it, now is the time. Its straightforward and fast and designed to make sure you're
ready on Day One. As a reminder, you should login at www.college2success.com/dyc using your D'Youville email and password. You'll need to complete the NSO Modules
as well as Sexual Violence Awareness & Prevention: A Title IX Training For Students.
Since you've chosen to join us, you're probably the kind of person that truly wants
to make a difference in the world and build a better future for us all. Until we can
overcome the COVID-19 pandemic, that starts with ensuring we all follow certain rules
and best practices. Keep up-to-date by reviewing our COVID-19 website.
At D'Youville, we believe getting you quick and simple access to every campus resource
on all your devices is important. You'll see that reflected in our campus technology.
If you haven't logged into My D'Youville yet, you should do that soon. All you need
is your D'Youville email and password. There you'll discover connections to every
digital resource in an environment designed for current students. From campus announcements
to Microsoft 365 to Canvas, it's all here.
Your email and password are your ticket to Microsoft 365 — the full suite of online
programs from Word to Excel to OneDrive — all free and ready for you to use.
Keeping your courses, assignments, and communications in order is an important part
of your learning. That's why we use Canvas, a dedicated learning system, to help you
TechReady and BookReady
If you're a first time in college student (FTIC), you'll be able to participate in
our TechReady and BookReady programs.
Our BookReady program is a partnership with Follett Access that allows us to offer
FTIC students free textbooks for their first year. BookReady prioritizes digital formats.
This reduces the need for physical copies and removes the costs associated with printing,
paper and shipping. Delivery is more seamless. However, books can be packaged into
one convenient box and available for pick up at the bookstore on the first day of
classes with the option to get them shipped to your home.
Our TechReady program, is a initiative at D'Youville University to support all First
Time in College Students (FTIC) by providing them the technology needed to support
them in their classes, by eliminating a barrier to success with these laptops. TechReadyprovides
every first time in college student with a free laptop. These laptops can be picked
up the first week of classes from the IT Tech Lounge, located in Bauer Family Academic
Center (BFAC) 130 or during move-in.
The BookReady program was created to help save students money and time. The rate for
returning, transfer and graduate students is $21.25 per registered credit hour. This means if you are registered for 12 credits, your books for the semester will
only cost $255.00 – it doesn’t matter how many books or what the books are, and it
doesn’t matter if you’re an undergraduate, graduate, or doctoral student. The total
charge will be added to your student account; if you add or drop a class before the
add/drop deadline, your account is automatically updated, and your books are adjusted.
The Office of Student Development & Advocacy oversees the TechReady program and typically
there are a limited number of laptops left to support other students in need who don't
identify as a First Time In College Students (ex: Second year, Graduate Students,
Transfer etc.). If you are a student who is in need of a laptop that doesn't identify
as a FTIC student, please fill out this form to apply for our additional free laptops. There are a limited number of laptops available
to those in need and decisions for those who apply will be left up to the discretion
of the Director of Student Development and Advocacy.
For questions on the BookReady and TechReady programs, email firstname.lastname@example.org or Kerri Winston, the Director of Student Development and Advocacy, at email@example.com.
