Enrollment

Student enrollment is currently at 2,900, about 52% are undergraduate students and 48% are graduate students. Our student population represents 28 states and 38 countries.

About Our Programs

  • 35 majors including Allied Health, education, liberal arts, business, natural sciences and pre-professional programs.
  • Degrees offered: BS, BA, MS, clinical doctorates and EdD.
  • Gross anatomy lab on campus, one of three in Western New York.
  • Our chiropractic program is only the second program in the US to be offered in a traditional college setting.

Undergraduate Program Info

  • We offer direct entry into the major of your choice upon acceptance, there is no need to reapply to get into upper levels.
  • Five most popular undergraduate programs: Nursing, business, physician assistant, education, and physical therapy.
  • A Career Discovery Program is available for undecided students -- without losing time in a selected major.
  • Oldest existing bachelor of nursing program in New York state.
  • Classes are taught only by faculty and the faculty to student ratio is 14:1.

Graduate Program Info

  • Masters degrees are offered in education, health services administration, international business, nursing, occupational therapy and physician assistant.
  • Doctoral degrees are offered in chiropractic, educational leadership, health policy and health education and physical therapy.
  • Graduate nursing students are only required to be on campus one day per week, which allow you to maintain your professional career.
  • International business and health services administration courses are offered in the evening to accommodate working professionals.
  • EdD program students benefit from community administrators and educational leaders as advisors and program consultants/reviewers.
  • The occupational therapy masters program begins each year in September.
  • All programs except physical therapy have rolling admissions. (The application deadline for fall entry into the PT program is November 30th of the preceding year.)
  • GRE and GMAT exams are not required for graduate admissions.

Financial Aid for Undergraduates

  • Students can earn up to 50% off tuition and 25% off room & board for 4-5 years depending upon their academic program. Merit scholarships are awarded based on high school average and SAT/ACT performance.
  • Merit scholarships are available for transfer students with a minimum cumulative 2.75 GPA.
  • At least 90% of undergraduate students receive financial aid.

Financial Aid for Graduates

  • Academic scholarships are available.
  • Nursing grant scholarships are currently available to US students.
  • Graduate assistantships are available.

Campus Life

  • There are over 30 student clubs on campus.
  • Student athletes participate in NCAA Division III teams in men’s and women’s basketball, volleyball, soccer, soft/baseball, women’s crew and cross country and co-ed golf.
  • There are two residence halls on campus, a traditional residence hall and an apartment-style complex.
  • Student services are all free and include academic advisement, health services, career services, learning/tutor center, disability services, personal counseling, freshmen experience, multicultural affairs, international student services and campus ministry.
  • Buffalo Niagara - where life worksThe campus is located less than a mile from the heart of downtown Buffalo and within walking distance to the Peace Bridge to Canada. It overlooks two parks and is near the city’s greatest cultural centers: the Albright Knox Art Gallery, Studio Arena Theatre, and Kleinhans Music Hall (home of the Buffalo Philharmonic Orchestra).
  • The campus is minutes away from beaches, ski resorts and the stadiums where the Buffalo Bills, the Buffalo Sabres and the Bisons play their home games.
