School of Pharmacy

The D'Youville School of Pharmacy prepares students for a career on the front lines of healthcare from clinical to research to retail services.

A pharmacist's importance in the continuum of patient care is only increasing, according to studies from the Pharmacy Workforce Center. Pharmacists are not only drug information experts — able to assess potential effects and interactions — they are trusted advisors to patients on everything from preventive care to wellness to diet and more.

D'Youville's School of Pharmacy ACPE-accredited Pharm.D program prepares students not only for their doctoral education but also for their eventual role as practitioners with the practical, hands-on experience that future pharmacists need.

Students who successfully complete all curriculum requirements will be awarded a doctorate of pharmacy (Pharm.D), and will be eligible to sit for both the North American Pharmacist Licensure Examination (NAPLEX) and Multistate Pharmacy Jurisprudence Examination (MPJE), developed and administered by the National Association of Boards of Pharmacy (NABP).
