Nursing Workforce Diversity Program (NWD)

D'Youville College is a Nursing Workforce Diversity Grant (NWD) grantee from the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services.

The nearly $1 million three-year grant is designed to increase nursing education opportunities for individuals from disadvantaged backgrounds, including racial and ethnic minorities that are underrepresented in the healthcare workforce. D'Youville received its first Nursing Workforce Diversity Grant in 2007. In 2010 we received a second grant. In 2013, we received our third grant.

D'Youville's Workforce Diversity Program provides at least 55 students with increased nursing education opportunities through separate high school and college components.
