Resources

A professor is explaining a lesson in the OT lab.

Get to know the various resources of OT fieldwork as determined by the department and ACOTE, the Accreditation Council for Occupational Therapy Education.

Level I or Level II fieldwork are emailed to Fieldwork Educators well before the fieldwork begins. For information regarding fieldwork paperwork, or if you are interested in attending a Preceptor Prep course, please contact Donna Brzykcy at brzycyd@dyc.edu.

SITE-SPECIFIC LEARNING OBJECTIVES

According to the Accreditation Council for Occupational Therapy Education (ACOTE), each fieldwork site must develop Level II OT learning objectives that reflect the unique setting, consumer populations, treatment approaches, philosophy, and expected competencies of entry-level OTAs at that site. Objectives should be written as behavioral and measurable statements of what a student is expected to do, know, or otherwise demonstrate by the end of the fieldwork rotation.  Resources for these objectives can be found at the WNY OT Fieldwork Consortium.
