EDUCATIONAL LEADERSHIP (EDD)

The prospect of returning to school, let alone enrolling in a doctoral program, while maintaining a full time career and a healthy family life can be intimidating and feel daunting. The D'Youville Educational Leadership program is designed to support, compliment, and advance the effectiveness of working educators. Most importantly, I found the professors became personally invested in the success of their students both academically and professionally.

The D'Youville Educational Leadership program is designed to support, compliment, and advance the effectiveness of working educators. Most importantly, I found the professors became personally invested in the success of their students both academically and professionally.

The ability and support to complete a dissertation directly related to my interest and opened the door of opportunity to influence change on a statewide scale. My research on the metrics of New York State student growth percentiles enabled me to work with state politicians and education department leaders while assisting classroom teachers understand this new metric of student learning.

Education is a people oriented profession and what I appreciate the most from the D’Youville EDL program are the professors and their understanding of the diverse dynamics that influence learning, leadership, and success. D’Youville’s EDL program is not a collection of courses and tasks, it is a compendium of dedicated and knowledgeable professors who are committed to the growth of their students.

I believe the professors of D’Youville’s EDL program understand that process and actively take part in the learning journey of their students.

As an educator, you understand that learning never ends and you frequently develop deeper understandings through the art and science of teaching. I believe the professors of D’Youville’s EDL program understand that process and actively take part in the learning journey of their students.

The influence of a doctorate in educational leadership from D’Youville continues throughout your career well after you graduate. The skills and confidence acquired while completing the EDL program apply to a wide array of applications not only professionally but throughout nearly every facet of life. I became a more critical thinker, a better communicator, and a more effective consumer of information.
