My degree will help me climb the leadership ladder.
I currently work with a 19-year-old boy named John, who is wheelchair-bound. I would like to help out others just like him. Being in the Health Services program will allow me one day to possibly be a manager in a hospital or another healthcare facility or a department. This degree will help me climb the leadership ladder.
I have been told I'm a natural-born leader and I love being involved and managing various things. Being involved in Student Association since freshman year has made my experience at D'Youville that much greater. It is wonderful to represent the student body and help make meaningful decisions to better the college community.
I am also a dancer for the Buffalo Bandits, a huge commitment, but I've managed to juggle both the team and my school work. I knew I wanted to have the best college experience possible and being a Buffalo Bandette was part of my plan. There are a lot of fun clubs and activities on campus, but the greater city of Buffalo also has a lot to offer, too, especially with campus so close to downtown. My friends can go to the Bandit games 10 minutes away at the HSBC arena and see me dance and enjoy one of the exciting events Buffalo has to offer.
