On October 12 & November 28, join us for Trauma Informed Care, training presented by Samantha P. Koury & Shelley L. Hitzel.
This training will provide participants with knowledge around how psychological trauma and adversity impacts individuals and how they can use trauma-informed approaches with both clients and other staff within their roles to reduce the potential of re-traumatization. The training will be applicable to professionals in all human service sectors and roles.
Learning Objectives
Participants will be able to:
- Explain the effects of trauma and Adverse Childhood Experiences (ACEs) on individuals
- Describe the five values/principles of Trauma-Informed Care in relation to clients and staff
- Identify opportunities to incorporate trauma-informed approaches into their work and organization

& November 28, 2018 from 9:00 AM - 10:30 AM or 10:30 AM - 12:00 PM - Location: Madonna Lounge, Madonna Hall (MAD)

- CEUs: 4.5 live in-person contact hours for October 12 & November 28.

Attendance at both dates (October 12 - 3 hours & November 28 - 1 & 1/2 hours) is required in order to receive a certificate. Partial credit is not given for partial attendance.
