Welcome from the Chair

Dear Prospective Student:

I'd like to take a moment to thank you for your interest in the Occupational Therapy Program at D'Youville College. Occupational therapy is a rewarding career in which therapists help clients live life to its fullest. The warm and friendly atmosphere at D'Youville makes the education process both exciting and comfortable

Our program is well known for its excellent preparation of occupational therapy clinicians. Clinical affiliates look forward to the opportunity to work with D'Youville students, stating that the students are well prepared and knowledgeable. It is because of our reputation among clinicians that we are able to offer an extensive array of clinical experiences, spanning every practice area and covering both national and international geographic locations.

The size of our Occupational Therapy Department helps assure that each student gets individualized attention. Faculty members know students by name, and go that extra mile to assist when needed.

We're also known for our high percentage passing rate for the National Board for the Certification of Occupational Therapy Exam. This exam is required for all occupational therapists that plan to work in the United States, and D'Youville has maintained a high passing rate for first time test takers. Along with this high percentage passing rate, our students also are able to readily secure positions in the field. Many graduates are offered positions where they participated in clinicals. For those that look for occupational therapy positions following graduation, the field is ever expanding, with positions available all across the globe.

Thank you for your interest in D'Youville's Occupational Therapy Program. Stop in for a visit to see our beautiful campus and explore all that D'Youville has to offer.
