As a mother and a working registered nurse, D'Youville was the right choice for me.
Although I earned an Associate RN degree , I knew that a bachelor's degree in nursing was necessary in my field. The nurses I worked with during some of my clinical rotations encouraged me to pursue a bachelor's degree in order to further my career.
I decided to enroll in the RN-BSN program at D'Youville because I know it will make me a more marketable candidate for jobs as well as help me become a better, more knowledgeable nurse.
I really like the small size of D'Youville and the personalized attention that each student gets from faculty and staff. Not only do they learn your name, but they take a genuine interest in seeing that anyone who applies themselves succeeds. My advisor in particular has always been so willing to help me thrive as a student and professional.
As part of my clinical rotations, I worked at Claddagh Commission, a home for individuals with developmental disabilities. I really enjoyed working with the residents there and the experience helped me sharpen my skills as a nurse.
All in all, I feel that my experience at D'Youville has been great. As a mother and a working registered nurse, D'Youville was the right choice for me.
