and molecular cell biology. Electives include human anatomy and physiology, human
gross anatomy, microbiology, invertebrate zoology, ecology, evolution, microscopic
anatomy, immunology, comparative anatomy, comparative physiology, developmental
biology, endocrinology, and marine biology. Students in the BS program also
take introductory calculus and physics.
Research Opportunities
For students interested in research experience, internships are available at several high-profile institutions including Roswell Park Cancer Institute and the Hauptman Woodward Research Institute. Research opportunities with our science faculty will give you an excellent introduction to the world of research, allowing you the opportunity to collect and interpret data. Many students receive National Science Foundation stipends, and also present their projects at international conferences.
