Opportunities in Health Services
Students in the Health Education and Operations option explore patterns of health care delivery and the forces that shape the health care system. Graduates are prepared for positions in hospitals, HMOs, long-term care, home care and community care.
Students in the Health Science option study advanced sciences in preparation for entering licensing programs such as physical therapy, occupational therapy and chiropractic medicine.
Graduates of the Health Services Administration program will find a growing need for individuals with skills such as information technology, reimbursement knowledge, and program planning and evaluation.
There is also a demand for knowledgeable professionals in geriatrics and with HMOs, hospitals and community organizations in customer service, project management and data management.
