Master's Degrees

Teaching children is very challenging and rewarding work. D'Youville College's master of science programs prepare you to create productive teaching environments that help children and adolescents excel.

Our faculty are readily available to our students. Tenured faculty hold doctoral degrees and have distinguished themselves through research, publications, conference presentations and teaching.

Our graduate students range in age from 22 to over 50 years of age. They come from a variety of educational backgrounds. Their knowledge and experience add a great deal to classroom discussions and activities.

The Master of Education degree also opens opportunities for further advanced degrees such as an Ed.D. or Ph.D. Many students enter doctoral programs in educational leadership, higher education, educational administration or other specialties.

Master's Degree Programs

All graduates become eligible to apply for initial New York State certification in their respective program area upon completion of the master's degree.

Students with three years of satisfactory full-time teaching, providing all New York State examinations and program requirements are met, may apply for professional certification.

Note to applicants: Be sure to check out the application and admission requirements for these programs.
