Career Discovery at D’Youville

In the Career Discovery Program (CDP) you will take courses that will fulfill the core curriculum requirement at D’Youville as well as sample introductory courses in particular majors. Being a CDP student gives you the opportunity to explore multiple majors before making a commitment to any one.

Since many freshmen are not necessarily ready to go into a program, the Career Discovery Program encourages job shadowing in place of internships for many students. A student may seek out her/his own shadowing placement or use the professional network program in the Career Services Center.
