GMAT Information
Registration for the Graduate Management Admissions Test (GMAT) can be accomplished by visiting www.mba.com or by contacting (800)GMAT-NOW.
The GMAT is a computerized exam. A testing date may be scheduled in as little 2-3 weeks prior to taking the exam. When you visit the website, sign up to receive the free tutorial software and be sure to take the practice exams.
Spend some time preparing. Study guidebooks from Princeton Review or Kaplan can be purchased on-line or at any bookstore.
The current cost of the GMAT is $250. Submit your proof of payment for the GMAT and the ADVANCE & MBA Admissions Office will waive your $100 tuition deposit!
MGT 390 GMAT & MBA Prep Course
The Graduate Management Admission Test, better known as GMAT, is a computer –based standardized assessment that helps business schools accesses the qualifications of applicants for advanced student in business and management. The GMAT measures basic verbal, mathematical, and analytical writing skills that you have developed over a long period of time in your education and work. The GMAT consists on three parts: The analytical writing assessment, the quantitative section, and the verbal section. No special knowledge of business is required in order to successfully complete the test. The objective of MGT 390 is to thoroughly prepare MBA candidates for taking the Graduate Management Admissions Test (GMAT).
Each week of this five session course will focus on a different aspect of the test beginning with general test taking strategies to review of the math and english specifically tested on within the GMAT.
Those interested in the MBA program are strongly encouraged to download the free GMAT practice test as found on www.mba.com to see how they score and what improvements are needed. Those scoring less than 500 on the practice test are advised to take this course.
In order to register for this course the following will be needed
- Application to the MBA Program
- Resume
- Statement of intent
- Three letters of recommendation
- Transcripts from all undergraduate universities/college attended
- Lastly, academic interview where registration for MGT 390 will take place
Cost for this course is equivalent to one graduate credit hour. Please see the tuition section for current per credit hour rates.
