I decided to study business management to enhance the experience I gained from my military career.
I spent 22 years in the United States Army. My military career covers exactly half my life and all of my adult life. Prior to that, I was just an ordinary kid growing up and attending public school in Niagara Falls, NY.
After I retired from military service, I knew that it would be important for me to attain a college degree in order to have success as a civilian employee. I was initially apprehensive about attending college and the challenges it would present for me. Ben Randle, the Director for the Office of Veteran's Affairs at D'Youville, assured me that I would do well, as long as I applied myself. So, I decided to study business management to enhance the leadership and managerial experience I gained from my military career.
I enjoy the learning environment here, with its small class sizes that allow for quality interaction between students and professors. The most rewarding thing for me about studying business has been getting to meet and interact with the faculty and students.
