Pursuing my degree offers me more than just job growth opportunities – it’s offers me a voice and a presence.
I was interested in studying business management because I love interacting with people and I want to contribute to the community and the economy. I decided to pursue a degree in the ADVANCE Program because the class structure fits perfectly into my schedule.
At D’Youville, the learning style is not all traditional; every professor offers something different and exciting. You remember them all because of their unique teaching styles.
I am currently employed full-time at D’Youville and my future plans are to grow professionally within the college. I believe that the business degree will allow me to improve efficiency in my current position and to be innovative and motivated for whatever professional venture I may embark on. As a matter of fact, I haven’t even graduated yet and everything I am learning has already influenced me professionally, simply because it has encouraged me to apply for jobs I wouldn’t have in the past. It has allowed me to speak up in a setting where I would have otherwise kept quiet. Getting the ADVANCE Business Management degree has already offered me more than job growth opportunities; it has offered me a voice and a presence.
I am a single mother and I initially thought going back to school would be a lot to handle. But time has passed by so fast and I have successfully completed numerous classes. My son is growing up healthy and I will soon be graduating with a valuable education and a great networking team of friends and faculty.
